I am the Nation

On July 4th, 1776 the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America was signed by 56 delegates. The famous preamble, includes the ideas and ideals that were principles of the Declaration. It is also an assertion of what is known as the "right of revolution": that is, people have certain rights, and when a government violates these rights, the people have the right to "alter or abolish" that government. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.


I pledge allegiance to the United States of America, and to the republic for which I stand, One Nation Under God, indivisble, with Liberty and Justice for All.
We said that pledge every single day in our schools. On this day I want to say God Bless the USA. May we as American citizens never forget the words of Thomas Jefferson: "A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have...."
