Dream a little dream.....

It's been a roller coaster ride here and I'll spare details to the public.

I've been trying to focus on my passions, knitting and spinning, and while doing so I thought about why I turn to them when I'm stressed. For me, it's the soothing sound of the needles, click, click click. The feel of the soft wool through my fingers. The whirl of the wheel and how amazing it is (even in this day and age) to produce a lovely skein of yarn no matter how imperfect.

In the meantime when life hands me lemons I will turn to dreamsicle ice cream ;).

What do you focus on when stressed? Why?

Here lately, it seems my mind just shuts off when I'm stressed. I find myself just sitting and wasting time. Of course, there was a little hat I cranked out over the weekend while working through my own issue...

I've been following your status on FB and wondering what's been running wild in your life... Hugs! Hang in there... and make those dreamsicles!

I too create. It really lets me just shut down. :) Take care of you and don't do what I do - which is eat an entire bag of jelly bellys because they are there! g

What helps me the most when I'm stressed is watching reruns of favorite tv shows. I'm able to lose myself in them for a bit and it helps take my mind off things. Of course, that dreamsicle icecream wouldn't hurt, either. ;)

Keeping you in my thoughts and sending lots of virtual hugs your way.
