Here comes the Sun

It's hot. It's humid. And I'm sweltering. This is one time Mr. Bettis and I are in agreement, it's too hot to resume our normal activities. For him it's barking at the wildlife and for me, it's knitting/scrapbooking/sewing. I'm trying to stay cool which is not an easy task, that's for certain. The central air conditioner is on the blink. Thank goodness for the pool.
In the meantime I'm doing some mindless knitting because I can't even think clearly in this heat.

How are you surviving the heat and humidity?

We went to the pool yesterday...it was okay as long as we were *in* the water, but it felt like the top of my head was frying. Needless to say, we didn't stay long.

Maybe we should do a Fall dance? I've heard Rain Dances work...

We are all just bitchin' and complaining up here.... although we have some relief today. High's in the high 70's - low 80's... far from the 95 - 103 temps of the past couple weeks. Heat will be back for the weekend though.

We have already had 40++ days of over 90 degree daytime highs. The average is 12, and we're not even to August yet.

Ummm - I love the heat because we don't get humidity with it. You're making me rethink moving to your coast, ya know! g

We have had rain every single day and it is so hot and humid here, I walk outside to get into my car and melt.
I purposely put up a huge shade sail over my pool and it helps so much! I find myself hanging out in the covered sections of the pool. Now, I need to get an anchor and attach it to my float so, I can float in that one spot under the shade!

What heat... it was 13 degrees C here yesterday - I think that is around 55 degrees F.

I actually put socks on in the afternoon, it was quite chilly.

Shall we swap lifestyles for 2 weeks? LOL

I don't think I am surviving.... I think all this heat & humidity is sucking the life right out of me! I feel wilted most of the time. Come on October!!!
