As if.........

We prattled around here for days, watching it snow, working on puzzles, playing board games and all in all appearing as if we had nothing better to do with our time. Until this morning.
Hubby got up to head off to work and as he entered the living room.......drip.....drip......drip.

Water was dripping from the living room offset. He had to shovel a path to get to the bay window area to take a look at the gutter.
It is packed with ice built up to 4 inches thick above the gutter. Not. Good.

He came inside and cut the drywall from the ceiling. Insulation and drywall are soaked.

What a mess! Looks like he's off for the day to take care of this little problem.

Miss Aurora was fascinated with the snow/water dripping into the bowls. I'm so glad this is amusing someone because it sure isn't amusing to us.

In spite of it all we are counting the blessings. It didn't happen during a torrential rain storm or during hubby's busy work season. So there are things to be grateful for even if we had to look hard for them.

That'll teach you to love wads and wads of snow. Hrmph.

I mean... I'm so sorry. I'm glad your hubby is home, glad it's no worse than it is, and glad that at least one creature in your dwelling finds it interesting.

May Mr B be a good boy today.

You would think given his history, you would have him standing on something other than a milk crate. Sorry about your luck, I'm still snowed in, I haven't been out since last Thursday, we have 7-8 foot drifts.

That sucks! I have been there courtesy of a lovely Texas thunderstorm. At least you aren't dealing with your insurance company...I have a few choice words to say about that.
Cats are such funny creatures.

Those milk crates are some strong puppies. I used to scoot around on one at my old job and I used it for a step stool all of the time. :)

Ack! I'm always terrified of getting a leak in our roof. We recently discovered a leak that was behind our fridge. That was *not* fun. Hope y'all don't have too much damage.
